Marcello Fantoni Sculptural Ceramic Object Stele 1985
Very beautiful and unusual work from the late work of Marcello Fantoni, designed in the shape of a stele in human form in earth-colored unglazed ceramic. This ceramic is reminiscent of Roman terracotta ceramics of antiquity paired with the style of mythological terracotta objects from Africa. This unique piece and the other two on my page were made especially for a very well-known ceramics collector in Padua. Engraved on the side with MF 85 and signature Fantoni on the bottom.
