Aldo Tura red goatskin parchment side tables or night stand with one drawer. This wonderful elegant piece of Italian living culture consisting to three levels and a drawer. Nice brass details.
This particular table was executed, circa 1960 and is in very good vintage condition. Along with artists like Piero Fornasetti and Carlo Bugatti, Aldo Tura (1909-1963) definitely belonged to the mavericks of Italian design. Where as the former chose abundant figurative decorations as his hallmark, Bugatti and Tura focussed on applying a specific material. Tura founded his workshop in Milan in 1939 and the company has been in operation ever since.
