Aldo Tura Monumental Cream Goatskin Egg Ice Bucket Italy 1970s
An outstanding ice bucket by Aldo Tura in cream lacquered goatskin with a plastic inlay, made around 1970, in excellent vintage condition.
Alongside artists like Piero Fornasetti and Carlo Bugatti, Aldo Tura (1909–1963) was undoubtedly one of the pioneers of Italian design. While Fornasetti made lavish figurative decoration his trademark, Bugatti and Tura focused on the use of a specific material. Tura founded his workshop in Milan in 1939, and the company has been operating continuously ever since a few years ago.
