Aldo Tura Cream Goatskin Dining Chair 1970s Set of 6
Set of six Aldo Tura dining chairs made of sand-colored lacquered parchment, designed with a curved backrest and upholstered seats with cream-colored fabric covering, legs made of dark-stained beech wood and beautiful brass screws. Very good vintage condition with very little marks of usage on the fabric.
Along with artists like Piero Fornasetti and Carlo Bugatti, Aldo Tura (1909-1963) definitely belonged to the mavericks of Italian design. Where as the former chose abundant figurative decorations as his hallmark, Bugatti and Tura focused on applying a specific material. Tura founded his workshop in Milan in 1939 and the company has been in operation ever since.
