Aldo Tura Brown Goatskin Box Set of Two
Elegant cigar or useful box in brown lacquered goatskin. This box was executed, circa 1960 in light brown parchment with small brass handle to open it.
Very good vintage condition.
Along with artists like Piero Fornasetti and Carlo Bugatti, Aldo Tura (1909-1963) definitely belonged to the mavericks of Italian design. Whereas the former chose abundant figurative decorations as his hallmark, Bugatti and Tura focussed on applying a specific material. Tura founded his workshop in Milan in 1939 and the company has been in operation ever since.
