Aldo Tura Bar Cart Nickel Anthrazit 1960s

Very special oval bar or serving cart designed by Aldo Tura, Milan, Italy 1960s.

The bar cart is made of anthracite lacquered goatskin and nickel plated elements.

Along with artists like Piero Fornasetti and Carlo Bugatti, Aldo Tura (1909-1963) definitely belonged to the mavericks of Italian design. Whereas the former chose abundant figurative decorations as his hallmark, Bugatti and Tura focussed on applying a specific material. Tura founded his workshop in Milan in 1939 and the company has been in operation ever since. Excellent original vintage condition.
