4 “Basket” Wicker Chairs by Gian Franco Legler, Switzerland, 1951

These stacking chairs were designed by Gian Franco Legler, 1951, and produced by J. Bally, Switzerland. Gian Franco Legler designed these design icons for an Italian restaurant named “The Basket” and was honored with the “Good Design Award” from MOMA, New York. The metal frame is covered with black plastic and has four rubber feets. The seat-flat is made of wicker.
